Tradecert.com has its corporate headquarters in the West of Ireland, a region with a long history of international trade links. Galway City has been an important port and trading center since medieval times, when it conducted a vigorous trade with Italy, Spain and France. It was visited by Christopher Columbus in 1477 and was the landing place for the first non-stop trans-Atlanticflight by Alcock and Brown in 1919.
Shannon international airport was the location for the world's first Duty-free shop, a concept which has been widely copied since. |
